Volunteer Opportunities

PROJECT ONE-2-ONE is a program that matches understanding and compassionate volunteers with people in treatment for mental illness. These friendships have significant meaning to those matched, as they would be isolated otherwise. You do not have to be a mental health specialist to be a friend. All it takes is a warm heart and an open mind. Choose to volunteer through our friendship or group home programs. Whichever volunteer activity you choose, you will bring a sense of purpose and a ray of sunshine into someone's life — and into your own.

Fill out this brief form and we will contact you for more information on volunteering.

We will match you with someone who shares your interests whether it is bowling or ballet, history or horseshoes. We have clients who would love to participate in these activities with you. We also enjoy group activities quarterly to have fun times and keep up-to-date with you and your friend.

In PROJECT ONE-2-ONE, the person with mental illness learns how to trust, share, and belong. As a volunteer you will learn important lessons in acceptance, patience, and the true meaning of friendship. You will find that a few hours shared with someone in need is time well spent.
