Pharmacological Management Services (formerly Med/SOM Services)

Bridgeway provides comprehensive Pharmacological Management Services to individuals receiving other Bridgeway services (Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), Services, Supportive Independent Living Services (SILS), Residential Treatment Services and Crisis Mental Health Services. Specific Pharmacological Management Services offered include: (1) comprehensive health assessment through consultation with a staff psychiatrist and coordination of medical services; (2) prescription of medications and medication administration (by Bridgeway nursing staff); (3) monitoring of self-administration of medications; (4) medication education and monitoring of adverse side effects; (5) crisis intervention; (6) individual and group instruction that focuses on medication education, symptom management, health education, sex education, diet, nutrition, exercise, etc.; and (7) facilitation of community referrals for laboratory tests and medical management.
